Mitragyna speciosa – Maeng Da Red
The name ‘Maeng Da’ originates from Thailand and loosely translates or refers to ‘pimped’ or ‘pinded’. Pimped as in the more stronger one, but also because the Maeng Da leaves where identified and separated by the leaves that had pins on the edges. Where as the most common kratom leaves have rounded edge. The ‘pinded’ leaf is also known as Horn or Horned leaves.
Nowadays the most Maeng Da strains come from Indonesia and refer to the more stronger/potent strain or the horned leaf. Maeng Da is one of the most popular Kratom strains you can find on the market. And often advertised as the kratom with a higher alkaloid-content.

I actually ordered the borneo red veing but got delievered Maeng Da. Mistakes happen and I am very pleased with Maeng Da as well. Good level of euphoric, less sedating. With 3g I can still function well mentally and are quite happy. Good product to sweeten up some difficult days.

The first thing I have to say is that the customer support is amazing. The first batch I received left me pretty disappointed, but it was absolutely no problem to get a replacement. The Gaiana-team was so accommodating, I almost feel bad.
The new batch (FL-1306-S) really hits its mark.
Low doses relief stress and even boost motivation while higher ones will sedate. To get side effects with this batch you’ll have to put in some work. Only one so far was that I had problems concentrating.

It’s a good strain but sadly the batch I got wasn’t very potent. Had to take 20g in order to achieve the same effect as 4-5g from a potent strain
